PolyTrack
PolyTrack is a high-speed racing game with a unique polygonal graphics style. Players will experience winding racing tracks and control skills in every corner.
Time Optimization
- In this mode, your main opponent is not the other racers but the Stopwatch. The only goal is to complete the track in the shortest time possible.
- The gameplay revolves around running the same track over and over again, constantly experimenting with different driving styles to shave every millisecond off your best time.
- The levels often have standard time markers (e.g. Bronze, Silver, Gold), which motivates the player to constantly strive for higher levels.
Repeat and Quick Restart Mechanics
- Because every millisecond counts, even a small mistake (crash, suboptimal driving, missing a jump) can cost you your score.
- This is a key element of Time Attack. Players can press the R key to instantly return their car to the starting line and start over without any loading time. This encourages intensive and repetitive practice.
Ghost Challenge
- When you race, your previous best car (or another player of your choice) will appear as a blurry car, called the Ghost.
- You can directly observe and compare the ghost's path, speed, and braking or acceleration points to understand where you are slow and where your opponent has optimized.
Necessary skills
- You need to perform drifts, jumps, and landings perfectly.
- Players must memorize every meter of the track, know when to brake, when to accelerate to the maximum, and which steering angle is fastest.
- Exploiting the game's physics (such as using momentum, short jumps to maintain speed) is the key to achieving record times.
Time Trial racing in PolyTrack is a test of patience, precision, and track analysis, offering a great sense of satisfaction when you finally break your own record.
